Real Housewives of Atlanta: Who is the Richest?
Rags to Riches?
The Real Housewives of Atlanta have a lot of atttude, but do they have a lot of money? Find out below who can justify the 'tude, and who can't.

Kandi Burress: Net Worth $35 million
Hands down, Kandi is the richest of the Atlanta Housewives. A singer, songwriter, and record producer, this girl has done well for herself. She certainly has an impressive resume.
- former member of the band Xscape
- holds a Grammy award
- songwriter for artists including Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, and Alicia Keys
And her empire keeps growing. She started the following companies:
- Bedroom Kandi
- Kandi Koated Entertainment (a production company)
- T.A.G.S. Boutique
- Kandi Factory (a new reality competition show that grants a recording contract to the musical artist)
All of this, and Kandi remains the most humble of the group. Kudos to her for keeping her head on straight!
Nene Leakes: Net Worth $4.5 million
Nene has a big personality. Thanks to Bravo TV, she has a big bank account to match. She is the highest paid housewife on the show, earning $750,000 per season.
Nene used her RHOA fame to turn herself into a brand. Her numerous television appearances include The Ellen Degeneres Show and Jimmie Kimmel Live, but her big break came when she was cast on Celebrity Apprentice by Donald Trump. If you watched season four, you heard Nene mention Trump's name 1,000 times or more: funny considering that she quit Celebrity Apprentice on the tenth episode.
After that, Nene landing a recurring role on Glee and was now a series player on The New Normal. Nene divorced her husband, real estate investor Gregg Leakes, but if season five is any indicator there may be a reconciliation in the works.
Phaedra Parks: Net Worth $2.4 million
A self-described "Southern Bell," Phaedra Parks has manners. Through all of the show's drama and fights, Phaedra never arrives anywhere without a gift and a kind word—what she says behind people's backs notwithstanding.
How did Phaedra make her money? She is an entertainment attorney and managing partner of the Parks Group PC law firm. She was also a legal analyst for NBC and Fox news.
Her marriage to asset recovery specialist Apollo Nida caused quite a stir on the show. He has a net worth of $400,000 and is a convicted felon, having served five years for receiving stolen goods. Oh boy. I'm pretty sure a hostess gift can't make that social faux pas go away.
Phaedra is a dedicated business woman. She was quick to monetize her new found fame and started not one, but two new businesses. She is opening a funeral home and has just launched a new workout video.
Kim Zolciak: Net Worth $1.5 million (With Husband $5 million)
One thing can be said about Kim: She is who she is, with no apologies. Kim broke onto the scene with the Real Housewife franchise and quickly worked it to her advantage. She has made several TV appearances, including The Ellen Degeneres Show.
The biggest boon to her bottom line, financially speaking of course, was the release of her "Don't Be Tardy to the Party," which was written and produced by Kandi Burruss. This song was bound to be a success. Kim also has a jewelry and wig line. Her husband, professional football player Kroy Biermann, pulls his weight in the relationship with his own net worth of $3.5 million.
Kenya Moore: Net Worth $1.5 million
Former Miss USA Kenya Moore seems to have built her identity around that title. (Side note for Miss Kenya: Remember that self-esteem comes from within!)
Kenya has appeared on numerous tv shows including:
- The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air
- Living Single
In 2008 she started her own production company, Moore Vision Media. If you watch the show, you will already know about the big workout video drama between Kenya and Phaedra. Whose video will make you booty-licious??
Porsha Stewart: Net Worth $500,000
Porsha joined the show in Season 5. She is the granddaughter of civil rights leader Hosea Williams and she helps run the Atlanta-based nonprofit organization, Hosea Feed the Hungry.
Porsha is married to former NFL player Kordell Stewart, which brought her net worth up to $16 million before the couple separated.
At 31 years of age, Porsha is the youngest member of the show. Through most of the season there was quite a generation gap between the ladies, or maybe it was just personalities clashing.
Cynthia Bailey: Net Worth $50,000
Cynthia, you're gorgeous!
As a professional model, this girl was already popular and successful before joining the show. Her pre-RHOA achievements include:
- two appearances on the cover of Essence
- modeling for Oil of Olay and Maybelline
- appearances in magazines including Vogue, Elle, and Vanity Fair
- advertising face for department stores Neiman Marcus and Lord and Taylor
- television appearances on The Cosby Show and New York Undercover and a co-hosting gig on BET TV
So what happened to all of her money?!? Last year, she married Peter Thomas, the owner of Atlanta's Uptown Restaurant. Thomas was estimated to be worth $3 million. Uptown is now closed and the couple speaks openly that they are having financial troubles.
Both have kept their chins up and moved on to new ventures. Cynthia opened the Bailey Agency School of Fashion and Thomas opened Bar One in Atlanta.
