50 Best Episodes of Bones, Part 1

Welcome To The FOX Drama BONES

The television series BONES premiered on September 13, 2005 and will be the show's 9th season in September 2013. The series is set in the Jeffersonian Institute Forensic Science Department located in Washington D.C. Each episode features an FBI case brought to the team at the Jeffersonian by FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth. The head of the team is forensic anthropologist, Dr. Temperance Brennan. The team also includes an entomologist, a forensic artist and a former pathologist turn Head of the Forensic Division. The team also includes assistants to Dr. Brennan called "Squinterns" by Booth. They are lead and recurring characters.

The series is considered a crime procedural, but does have elements that make it stand out. The other shows including the CSI franchise, the Law and Order franchise and Criminal Minds are only considered dramas, BONES is considered a dramady (a drama and comedy). There is enough humor in the series to keep it much lighter and less dark. The series also differs from its fellow crimes shows because the characters personal lives are featured in every episode. The case is always the main story, but the secondary story is usually the personal side.

The series is based on books by novelist, Kathy Reichs who is also a forensic anthropologist. The lead character in her books is Temperance Brennan, but that is not where the story ends. On the show Dr. Brennan is also an author and her mystery novels feature a forensic anthropologist named Kathy Reichs.

As of the end of season 8 the series has 166 episode that have aired. I have focused on the 50 episodes that will give you the best cases and personal stories of the team. Many of the episodes feature the important arcs with the most frighting criminals that the team has ever faced. Part One features episodes from seasons one through four. Part Two features episodes from seasons five through eight.
