K-pop groups are multi-talented; they can sing, dance, and act. Some of them also perform in Korean dramas. In fact, these idols have done some of the funniest parodies of well-known K-dramas. You'll be surprised to see your favorite idols turn into beautiful maidens as they dress up and perform the female roles in these parodies!

10. Temptation of Wife (F.T. Island)

Temptation of Wife was a popular drama in South Korea that originally premiered in November 2008 and ended on May 1, 2009. (It was subsequently revived in 2012.) Despite controversies about questionable content—or maybe because of it—Temptation of Wife was one of the most highly watched dramas on Korean TV, averaging over a 40% share nationwide at its absolute best (February 2009).

I didn't realize F.T. Island had created a bunch of Korean drama parodies. Temptation of Wife was my favorite. I was surprised by Seunghyun and Hongki playing the female roles in the parody. Seunghyun is such a pretty girl, and Hongki is gorgeous!

I loved it when Seunghyun dressed up as a girl on MakBanShi, so I was delighted to see "Lady Seung" again. He really makes a good girl, but his posture is so bad. Maybe he was trying to not be taller than the others? I also loved Hongki’s facial expressions, which made me remember his role in the drama You’re Beautiful (see below).

9. The Legend of Chun Hyang (Shinee)

Based on a traditional Korean folktale, Chun Hyang is the beautiful young daughter of a medicine woman (Mu Dang) named Wall Mae. They live in a village ruled by a tyrannical warlord who, one day, kidnaps Wall Mae. Rather than submit to his carnal desires, Wall Mae kills herself.

A master of martial arts, Chun Hyang sets off on a series of adventures with Mong Ryong, a handsome traveller who holds the empire's most powerful office as the Am-Hang-Osa. Together, they're going to stand up against tyranny and inspire a nation.

You can tell Shinee was having fun with their parody. They couldn't stop laughing!

8. Cinderella's Sister (2PM)

A modern-day adaptation of Cinderella, this drama tracks the contentious relationship between Song Eun-jo and her stepsister (and family favorite), Goo Hyo-sun. The show turns the fairy tale on its head by having Hyo-sun play Cinderella as a villain and Eun-jo play the down-on-her-luck Cinderella role—hence the show title.

There are several funny parts of the parody, but the dance-off at 6:30 is my favorite. I had to stop the video because I was laughing so hard! And watch to the end because the guys break character in the last scene, and it is too funny.

The Heirs parody by Winner

The Heirs parody by Winner

7. The Heirs (Winner)

The Heirs follows a group of wealthy, privileged high school students as they prepare to take over their families' business empires. These rich kids appear to have everything under control, except their love lives.

Kim Tan is the attractive heir to a huge Korean conglomerate sent to study in the U.S. While there, he sees (and falls in love with) Cha Eun-sang, who arrived from Korea looking for her older sister. This is a problem because Tan is engaged to Yoo Rachel, the "Paris Hilton of Jeguk High School" and the heiress of a clothing company.

This parody is a total farce, and I truly love Seungyoon's acting! He totally becomes Yang Tan (aka Kim Tan), and yes, he is still great-looking. Seunghoon plays Tan's mom and, oh my god, he looks so manly from the back and so beautiful from the front! He reminds me of Daesung (Big Bang, see below). For Taehyun's eyebrow, I think make up can settle it lol.

Coffee Prince parody by Boyfriend

6. Coffee Prince (Boyfriend)

Coffee Prince tells the story of Choi Han-kyul, whose grandmother runs a major coffee company. He's never had a job because he does not like to work. He's also hung up on his first love, Han Yoo-joo, who only sees him as a friend.

Han-kyul's grandmother, fed up with his laziness, orders him to work at a coffee shop (named Coffee Prince) to prove to her—and Yoo-joo—that he can be a responsible breadwinner. She also starts setting him up on terrible blind dates that he desperately wants to avoid.

That's when Go Eun-chan, a tomboyish woman frequently mistaken for a man, enters Coffee Prince looking for work. Han-kyul not only hires her—thinking she's a man—but he also convinces her to pretend to be his gay lover. He figures this will stop his grandmother from intruding into his love life, but he doesn’t count on falling in love with Eun-chan—who, again, he thinks is a man.

I think I like this parody better than the actual Coffee Prince. The dance sequence at 2:30 literally had me crying. My only complaint is that I wish Youngmin and Minwoo ended up together!

Beethoven Virus parody by Shinee

5. Beethoven Virus (Shinee)

Beethoven Virus is a drama about a city orchestra whose conductor embezzles a bunch of money and skips town. Because the orchestra members can't get paid, they quit, leaving violinist Du Ru-mi the task of finding replacements.

She finds Kang Gun-woo, a young cop who just happens to be a trumpet virtuoso, even without formal training. By coincidence, she finds another Kang Gun-woo, an incredibly famous conductor and demanding taskmaster. He's not easy to work with and does not hesistate to tell the other musicians that they're terrible. Pretty soon, Du Ru-mi and the two Kang Gun-woos get caught in a love triangle as they struggle to save the city symphony.

This parody was perfect for Shinee. Key basically got to play himself, and when he called Taemin crap, Taemin's and Onew's faces were absolutely classic!

Princess Hours parody with Super Junior's Heechul and Kibum

4. Princess Hours (Super Junior's Heechul and Kibum)

Shin Chae-kyeong is a regular high school student who learns that, because of her grandfather's will, she has to marry the smug Crown Prince Lee Shin, a fellow student at her high school. Chae-kyeong doesn't want to marry him, but her family needs the money.

As Chae-kyeong adapts to royal life and to her disagreeable husband, Lee Shin's cousin, Prince Lee Yul, and his mother, Lady Hwa-young, return to Korea with the intention of capturing the throne. As you can guess, a love triangle forms between Chae-kyeong, Lee Shin, and Lee Yul.

I don't know what I like more about Super Junior's parody, Sungmin's shriek or Heechul and Kangin reciting Rokuko and dancing.

Boys Over Flowers parody by BigBang

3. Boys Over Flowers (Big Bang)

Boys Over Flowers tells the story of Geum Jan-di, a girl from a poor family who one day saves a student at Shinhwa High School threatening to kill himself. Because of her heroic efforts, she's given a swimming scholarship to attend Shinhwa.

It's there that she discovers the infamous F4, the most popular boys at school. Rich, good-looking, and self-important, Gu Jun-pyo, Yoon Ji-hoo, So Yi-jeong, and Song Woo-bin are the rulers of the school, and nobody—not even teachers—dares challenge them.

Nobody, that is, aside from Jan-di. She stands up to the bullies, which at first puts a target on her back, but soon turns into friendship. Before long, a love triangle (again!) forms between Jan-di, Jun-pyo, and Ji-hoo.

Daesung dressed as Jan-di looks so cute! That sailor outfit? I just can't. How did these guys keep from laughing through the whole thing? And their use of random old pop songs is the best.

You're Beautiful parody by 2PM

2. You're Beautiful (2PM)

You're Beautiful follows Ko Mi-nyeo and her twin brother, Ko Mi-nam, who were placed in an orphanage as kids following the death of their father. In a story that's perfect for a K-pop parody, Mi-nam is poised to become the lead singer of a massively popular idol group named A.N.JELL.

Unfortunately, he has to go to the U.S. for eye surgery, so the group's manager asks Mi-nyeo to pose as her brother until his eye heals up. At first she resists, but then she realizes that fame will help the siblings locate their mother, from whom they've been separated since their dad's death.

This is so funny. I love how Wooyoung plays the Ko Mi-nyeo part, but doesn't even bother dressing up as a girl. But, it still totally works! And wait for the Coffee Prince reference at the end.

Secret Garden parody by Big Bang

Secret Garden parody by Big Bang

1. Secret Garden (Big Bang)

Secret Garden tells the love story of aspiring stunt woman Gil Ra-im (Ha Ji-won) and arrogant CEO Kim Joo-won (Hyun Bin). They cross paths, and although Ra-im isn’t his type, Joo-won starts to experience strong feelings for her feisty ways. After a strange sequence of events, Ra-im and Joo-won wake up in the morning to find that they have swapped bodies.

What makes Secret Garden by Big Bang number one on my list? Because it’s amazing, that's why! You will laugh from beginning to end, and I’m sure you will want to watch it again and again. You will also be surprised by G Dragon in a dress, seducing and kissing T.O.P. G Dragon has a cute baby face. If the other guys dressed up like girls, they wouldn’t look nearly as cute.
