10 Funniest Episodes of Supernatural (Seasons 1-6)

The Funniest Supernatural Episodes

Supernatural is an American horror/fantasy TV series about brothers Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) who travel the country to fight demons, ghosts, monsters, and anything else that has a supernatural quality. The show has been running for almost a decade now — and it has only unfolded a more intense and captivating plot since its inception.

Despite the fact that the subject matter of Supernatural may make it seem gory and serious, the actors and writers are all incredibly talented and have managed to inject a lot of humor into it. In fact, at times, it almost feels like pure comedy — with all the hilarious little lines to even full-on episodes that manage to be lighthearted and hilarious, despite the dark backdrop.

Check out the 20 best episodes of Supernatural (seasons 1-5).

10. Ghostfacers

  • Season: 3
  • Episode: 13
  • Synopsis: Austin and A.J. are a couple of Jason and Grant (Ghost Hunters) wannabes. They wander (or illegally trespass) onto a Sam and Dean-level (read: legitimately) haunted house while trying to shoot the pilot episode for their prospective soon-to-be TV show.
  • Best line: "You need to go be gay for that poor dead intern!"

8. Party On, Garth

  • Season: 7

this is a great website. thank you for taking the time to put it together... you are amazing and your work is deeply appreciated for those of us who are fans of Supernatural. I am new to this show ... saw it for the first time last month on a rerun and bought all 11 episodes... and, now, I am addicted. Again, thanks.

loved Dog Dean Afternoon. The look on Dean's face when he saw the poodle is priceless, as is Sam's questioning what are you doing, Dean? The two of them have incredible charisma and amazing acting ability.

In Yellow Fever the best line is either when dean screams at the cat or when says that he doesn't want to have the gun because it might go off . Dummies

I think Mystery Spot is one of my favorite funny episodes. My husband and I watched the movie Groundhog Day that this episode was inspired by and we both agreed the Supernatural version was so much more funny. My next favorite is when they meet Chuck and find out about the Supernatural book series.
