"Romance on the High Seas" wasn't included because, at the time I made this list, "The Pajama Game" was simply rated higher on sites like IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. It had nothing to do with personal preference and I do distinctly remember that "Romance on the High Seas" didn't make the list by a very narrow margin. (I could have chosen to include it as my Honorable Mention but, honestly, I love the lesser known "Tea For Two" and wanted to give it a shout-out). Recently, a lot of Doris Day’s movies have become more readily available and, therefore, gained a bit more popularity so, "Romance on the High Seas" now has a higher rating on IMDB than it used to (though its rating on Rotten Tomatoes is still a bit lower). Because of this recent surge of classic movies on different streaming platforms, I have thought about redoing a few of my top tens to see how their rankings may have changed (and I possibly will in the future) but, in the meantime, I think this top ten still gives you a pretty good overview of Doris’ career highlights.
