Yes, Debbie was a really hard worker and always found a way to excel at the various skills she was required to have in her films (her tapping in "Singin' in the Rain" is probably one of the most famous skills she picked up during the course of filming a movie). And I would have loved to have included "The Mating Game" on the list. However, at the time I made this list, it simply wasn't rated high enough on sites like IMDB and Rotten Tomatoes. It had nothing to do with personal preference and I do remember the "The Mating Game" didn't make the list by a very narrow margin (I think it ended up coming down to its low Rotten Tomatoes rating). I could have included it as my honorable mention, however, I have a soft spot for "Charlotte's Web" and I wanted to give a shout-out to her memorable vocal performance in that classic family film. Recently, there's been a shift where a lot of Debbie’s movies have become more readily available and, therefore, gained a bit more popularity so, "The Mating Game" now has a higher rating than it used to (particularly on IMDB). Conversely, a few of her other movies have become more difficult to find than they used to be ("The Pleasure of His Company" is the big one). Because of this, I have thought about redoing a few of my top tens to see how their rankings may have changed (and I possibly will in the future) but, in the meantime, I think this top ten still gives a pretty good overview of some Debbie’s career highlights.
