The Trailer for the New Season of "The Witcher: Blood Origin" is Out and We Have So Many Questions

This is gonna be good.

You might've heard that Henry Cavill will not be returning to the next season of The Witcher, but have no fear. A brand new mini-series in The Witcher universe is here and the trailer looks absolutely incredible. And for the record, yes your eyes aren't deceiving you, that really is Michelle Yeoh.

The trailer was dropped on the official Twitter account, @witchernetflix on November 10. "All beginnings, all ends..." the caption cryptically reads.

A four-part mini-series, there is so much to take in from the trailer. IGN reports that the series takes place 1,200 years before the events in The Witcher and shows the creation of the first prototype Witcher. It will also chronicle what happened before the Conjunction of the Spheres. The trailer shows several battle scenes, which we totally love.

People online were hyped. "Looking GOOD, THIS ONE. Great song!!! Exciting scenes!!! NICE," @theviscountjask exclaimed. "Makes me damn happy to see Michelle Yeoh getting more roles like this," @KimberPLS cheered. "Henry Cavill this, Liam Hemsworth that, recast this, recast that....MICHELLE YEOH IS IN THE WITCHER PREQUEL BLOOD ORIGIN. Next month. It's the only Witcher content I care about," @ladydragonjj added. "AAAAAAAAAAA can't get over with the 'The Witcher: Blood Origin' teaser trailer," @urblueeee agreed.

According to IGN, the series will also star Sophia Brown who plays Éile, "an elite warrior-turned-nomadic musician," Laurence O'Fuarain as Fjall, described as "a warrior that carries a deep scar within," Mirren Mack as Merwyn, Lenny Henry as Balor, and Minnie Driver — whose role has been sort of hush-hush but will serve a "pivotal" part in connecting the original series to Blood Origin.

All four episodes will drop on Netflix on December 25 — so if you're looking for something juicy to dig into while hanging with the family on Christmas day, this might be a good pick.
