Marvel President Kevin Feige Explains Why They Chose Not To Recast T'Challa in New "Black Panther" Movie

It's all about timing.

Eagle-eyed fans may have noticed that there is something missing from the upcoming Black Panther sequel, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. And now Marvel President Kevin Feige is explaining why the role of T'Challa hasn't been recast.

Feige's enlightening interview with Empire magazine was discussed in a recent video by TikTok creator Tyrell Charles (@theoriesbyt), who had a lot to say on the matter.

Speaking of the slew of new info that was dropped in the article, Tyrell explained that the interview went into why they haven't recast T'Challa "...yet."

"In terms of Chadwick, Feige said at the time it was too soon to recast T'Challa for Marvel to reflect the world outside our doors, it needed to adjust to the fact that the world is still mourning his death," he explained. But does that mean that they won't recast the role in the future?

"I feel like you could argue it implies that it was too soon for this movie but there's a chance for a recast possibly down the line somehow," he added.

The video has since been watched over 25,000 times and people in the comment section had strong opinions of their own. "Nah he was so good as T'Challa I hope they don't recast," @tiberiusgracchus27 wrote. "I think there needed to be that morning time for us and the cast especially and then maybe for Black Panther 3 they can maybe revisit a potential recast," @hufflepug96 suggested. "IDK I think I fall on the side of not wanting them to recast T'Challa, it just doesn’t feel right," @man_idk_either agreed.

We guess we'll just have to wait and see.
