We know the only ones who do an annual re-watch of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Admit it, you've spent countless hours roaming the halls of Sunnydale High via your TV. But for those of us who are seriously missing series lead Sarah Michelle Gellar, a new show on Paramount Plus will definitely scratch the itch. SMG + supernatural spookiness? Yes please!
This time, Gellar won't be fighting vampires — she'll be taking on werewolves. As a new clip shared by the Paramount Plus TikTok page @paramountplus shows.
Premiering on January 26, 2023, there is so much to look forward to. According to Variety, the news broke during a recent joint panel for “Teen Wolf: The Movie” and “Wolf Pack” at New York Comic Con.
Based on a book series by Edo Van Belkom, the story follows a teen boy and girl who are attacked by a werewolf during a California wildfire. Of course, we can only imagine what kind of twist and turns the story takes. Deadline reports that Gellar will play a chief arson investigator.
"Meet Kristin Ramsey…. coming January 2023," Gellar herself wrote on Instagram.
People on TikTok were totally psyched about the news. "Screaming!!!!!! Buffy meets Teen Wolf!!! Dreams can come true!!!!" @joannehorner76n exclaimed. "Cannot wait to see Sarah Michelle Gellar back on our screens!!!" @smg_fandom agreed. "Buffy went from vampires to werewolves. LOVE IT," @kellylawrencekl chimed in. "Had me at SMG!!" @theamandayard chimed in.
It's safe to say that we'll be watching on January 26.
