People Are Absolutely Loving Disney+’s “The Santa Clauses”

It does the 90s version justice

We know there are a lot of reboots and sequels out there — like a lot, a lot. But we have full confidence that the new Disney+ revival, The Santa Clauses is totally going to hit the spot. Not only does the movie bring us the return of Tim Allen as Jolly Old Saint Nick, but it seems to have really resonated with the original movie's biggest fans, who couldn't stop singing its praises online.

For the uninformed, The Santa Clauses is a an original Disney+ series that brings us back to the North Pole. But if you were worried that it isn't going to be good, you don't need to be.

"Enjoyed #TheSantaClauses. I'd probably be done with it if they put all the episodes out at once, lol," wrote @BTTG161 on Twitter.

And it seems like they weren't the only ones. "Tim Allen saying 'I’ve been doing this for 28 years, all those kids have grown up' in The Santa Clauses is making me sooo emo because I have been watching these movies for my entire 28 years of life," @captainsstabIer added. "#TheSantaClauses is so well done. I literally love this. This is how you do a 'reboot,'" @HerDreadsRock agreed. "I watched #thesantaclauses and seeing Charlie and the scenes from the original movies made me SOB. and the Bernard mention? He’s coming. My favorite old little elf is coming back just you wait," @cloudyycolfer chimed in.

According to the revival's description, "After being Santa Claus for nearly thirty years, [Tim Allen as Scott Calvin] is as jolly as ever. But as Christmas declines in popularity, so does Santa's Magic. Scott struggles to keep up with the demands of the job, as well as being there for his family," it reads. This prompts Scott to look for a Santa Claus-successor, "so that he can become a better father and husband."

This sounds absolutely perfect, so you know we'll be checking it out. The first two episodes of The Santa Clauses are now streaming on Disney+.
