The actor is best known for his roles in "Will & Grace," "American Horror Story," and "Hearts Afire," Variety reports. He was also known for his wit and comedic timing.

The story spread quickly across the internet, including a tweet from Variety sharing the terrible news.

Jordan was only 67 when he passed.

According to the news outlet, it is believed that Jordan suffered from some sort of medical emergency before crashing into a building on Cahuenga Blvd. and Romaine St. KTLA reports that the incident happened at around 9:30 am on Monday morning. He was also known for his viral videos on Instagram throughout 2020 and was a bright spot for many during the lowest points of the pandemic.

According to Variety, Jordan was born and raised in Tennessee, but moved to Los Angeles in 1982. He was raised Southern Baptist and struggled with drug and alcohol abuse, but in 2010 declared that he has been sober for 13 years.

On Twitter, the condolences came rolling in just as quickly as the news was delivered. "This is sad. Leslie Jordan’s humor carried us through the 2020 pandemic," @joe_teffo wrote. "Oh no. What a fantastic actor, he brought such joy to the screen," @Kilts4me added. "As one of his community of 'hunker downers' — this is horrible news. So very sad!" @wordzgirl exclaimed. "NO! No! No! He was such a joy on Instagram," @Ascoyne chimed in.

Speaking with Variety, Jordan's agent David Shaul gave a statement about his untimely passing.

“The world is definitely a much darker place today without the love and light of Leslie Jordan,” Shaul said. “Not only was he a mega talent and joy to work with, but he provided an emotional sanctuary to the nation at one of its most difficult times. What he lacked in height he made up for in generosity and greatness as a son, brother, artist, comedian, partner and human being. Knowing that he has left the world at the height of both his professional and personal life is the only solace one can have today.”
