Mikey is Back! — The "A Christmas Story Christmas" Trailer Has Finally Dropped

This is going to be good.

It's the most wonderful time of the year...well almost. It's very close to being the most wonderful time of year — and by that we mean the release of the upcoming A Christmas Story sequel, A Christmas Story Christmas. Thankfully, the trailer for the movie has just dropped, getting us just a little bit closer to the big moment.

Of course, the internet has been hyped about the project for a minute. So the second the trailer was released it went viral online.

"Peter Billingsley returns as Ralphie in the first trailer for ‘A CHRISTMAS STORY CHRISTMAS,'" a tweet from the @DiscussingFilm account states.

According to Variety, the story will follow a now-51-year-old Ralphie who's mourning the death of his father and decides to return home to Cleveland St. Ralphie brings along his family with him too, and runs into his old childhood friends along the way. The movie will be set in the '70s, as the original film was set in the 1940s. the news outlet reports.

The movie marks Billingsley's first return to the screen since the original A Christmas Story premiered back in 1983. And if you ask us, it looks like he doesn't skip a beat.

People in the comments section were so ready. "Yay can't wait for sequel. A Christmas story Ralphie and his friends back together like old times hope that we see his brother and the bullies as well," @jimmylegends34 wrote. "I don't care what y’all say I’m low-key excited for this," @tay_targaryen chimed in. "Finally, a heartwarming family Christmas movie again," @BlakeEA70 agreed.

Although one commenter asked the question we were all wondering: "They bring back everyone but the lamp?" @Chuckyfan107 joked.

We have a strong feeling that the lamp is going to make an appearance somewhere. But we'll just have to wait until November 17 to see.
