Actress Geena Davis is breaking her silence about working with Bill Murray on the set of the 1990 movie Quick Change. And it sounds beyond unpleasant. Speaking with Sirius XM, Davis was candid about the on-set bad behavior and now people on the internet are outraged.
A clip from the internet was shared on TikTok by the Sirius XM page (@siriusxm) back on October 28, 2022.
"I didn't know, have any idea, why (Bill Murray) was screaming at me the way he did on the very first day," she said in the clip. "But I was so shell shocked, you know all I could do was feel shame and embarrassment."
"And then I saw that he would pick somebody else and do it to them," she continued. "And do it to them. And I would watch, and after one of these incidents I said to him, 'I can't wait until you do that to me again,' because now I'll know how to react to it," she recalled. "He said, 'well, I haven't had to because you've behaved yourself."
"All I could do... was feel terrible shame," she's quoted as having said in the caption.
People in the comments section were just as outraged. "If you think about it, do you ever hear anyone say what a great guy Bill Murray is?? Me neither!!" wrote @carmelperera70. "If Geena don’t like him then I don’t like him. She is a treasure!!" @hotpepperprincess exclaimed. "Man the more I learn about him the less I respect him and it tarnishes movies I adore," @shesaidonline added. "'I’d like a do over' I feel this so deeply as I’ve experienced the shame during the event then afterwards due to feeling unable to react at the time," @dotdashdot0 explained.
This incident was absolutely terrible. No one deserves to be yelled at — especially by your peer while at work.
