Harry Potter Meets Lolcatz

Updated on June 1, 2016

Welcome to PotterLolz. You've all seen Lolcatz—the cute cat pictures with a witty caption? I love them. They always brighten my day and make me laugh. Whilst browsing the Internet recently, I found some Harry Potter ones. They made me laugh a lot. So, really for my guilty pleasure, I've collected some that I found. I hope they make you laugh too.

Unfortunately, I can't take credit for the images on this page, but I also don't know who can. If anyone knows, please let me know and I can add the right credits for the pictures. As an alternative, I've added links below each block of photos of websites where the picture should belong, online.

Enjoy! Havus Funus!

Harry Potter and Me

I've been a massive Harry Potter for years. I remember back in the day when the third book had to be released at 15:45, for fear of children skyving off school to go and buy the book on release day. Even in those early days, we knew these books were turning into something huge.

When I left school, I worked in Waterstones. We were one of the first bookstores to open at midnight for the release of the fourth book, The Goblet of Fire. Everyone thought we were nuts (me included). We had a midnight pyjama party. The queue of people waiting to get in was phenomenal. The town where I lived have never seen anything like it. Of course, we did some face painting and had a little competition, but it was nothing compared to what was to come.

Thoroughout the course of film release, I began to know more and more people who were involved in the production. From CG artists, to cast and crew. The whole HP series was an utter joy to experience and I'm glad that I was able to live through it. There was something tangibly exciting about thinking "What's going to happen in the next book . . . only five more months until we find out." I loved inventing conspiracy theories and trying to work out the twists that might happen.

When I first discovered the PotterLolz, I was so happy. They're funny. Not just a little bit amusing, but if you've read the books and understand the intricacies, the jokes are really funny! I wanted to curate a bunch of them in one place, so that when I'm having a down day, I can quickly have a look through these, before I pick up a HP book to reread for the millionth time. Hopefully you'll be able to bookmark this page, keep coming back, and get the same pleasure out of them as I do.

Thanks for stopping by :)
