It's fun all the way through, but I know a eulogy won't cut it. You're here to find some more wacky movies like Game Night, so let's get right into it.

1. The Other Guys

Two mismatched cops fall from the graces of the police department and find themselves doing the paperwork for the rest of the precinct. They finally land a high-profile case, one that may help them move up the hierarchy. Only this time, it gets even worse as they find themselves in more trouble than ever before.

The plot at times feels absurd, especially if you're expecting a heavy-handed feature. There's action galore, but it's goofy and light-hearted. Deaths, however gruesome, are darkly comical. All the outlandish mayhem definitely puts a dent on the story's credibility, but it certainly makes for a jolly good time.

This gut-roaring comedy gets the ball rolling right from the get-go and doesn't let up till the credits roll. If you're looking for some great comedy films like Game Night, The Other Guys should be right up your alley.

2. Clue

Six guests are invited to a party, which turns into an ordeal when they learn that it's a game, and a treacherous one at that. With the clock ticking, they must solve a murder mystery by whatever means possible.

Clue was way ahead of its time - a meticulous amalgamation of horror and comedy that'll hook you instantly. Interestingly, three different endings were shot for this film, with every theatre showing a randomly picked ending. The DVD version has all three endings, allowing you to select any one of them.

Though the script at times feels uninspired, a talented ensemble cast ensures the delivery in an empathic fashion. Flawless it's not, but this feature packs a solid punch where it matters. Some of its tongue-in-cheek lines are guaranteed to stick with you for a while.

3. Snatch

Snatch is a testimony to the brilliance of the British movie industry; a living proof that these folks can create transfixing masterpieces.

Brad Pitt plays a capricious gypsy boxer; someone you'll root for throughout this movie. Though he steals the show with his authenticity, the rest of the cast pulls no punches either. Starting off slowly, this Guy Ritchie directed flick gets going after the initial introductions. The roller-coaster ride doesn't let up once it's in full swing.

Granted it's confusing at times, but all the disparate pieces fall into place by the end. Perfection shouldn't be a prerequisite for enjoying a movie. Snatch has its fair share of issues but that shouldn't dissuade you from enjoying this gem.

4. Fargo

This abduction-gone-awry features William H.Macy in the role of a middle-aged man, Jerry, with a sinister plan to kidnap his wife. Doomed and dejected, he takes an easy way out in hopes of extracting some money from his rich father-in-law.

Things, however, don't go as planned as a non-violent scheme turns into a nightmarish ordeal. With a dogged cop on his trail, he finds it increasingly difficult to wriggle out of the bloody mess. Things only get worse as Jerry helplessly watches his life fall apart.

For all its sadistic bleakness and gore, Fargoremains uncannily comical throughout its run, even in the darkest of moments. Characters die in bizarre, unexpected ways but you will not be lamenting anyone's loss. This capricious feature is hard to summarize as it's a one-of-a-kind experience, venturing far off from the usual Hollywood tropes of thrillers.

Over 20 years later, Fargo has managed to stay relevant, spawning a successful TV series of the same name. If you like the movie, definitely check out the serial.

5. Very Bad Things

A bachelor party in Las Vegas goes sideways when a group of friends turn on each other after a prostitute dies in their hotel bathroom. The coverup builds as they continue to go down the rabbit hole of dread and paranoia. A fun night turns into a nightmare for the boys but the audience will love every second of their misadventures.

Despite an excellent first half, the movie struggles to find its footing in the last few moments. The movie loses focus for a bit, but it's still a fun ride all the way through, thanks to its dark humor delivered with unbelievable timing. The darker the story gets, the more you'll find yourself chuckling.

Though the whole ensemble cast did a marvelous job, the film's saving grace is Christian Slater - a standout performer heads and shoulders above the rest.

It's a shame the critics panned this underrated gem when it came out, writing it off as just another run-of-the-mill feature. Audiences all around the world, however, vehemently disagreed with them. Some people just don't get the dark humor. It goes without saying that Very Bad Things is not for everyone.

If you're looking for a movie like Game Night, Very Bad Things should be right up your alley.

6. The Hangover

Ever been so wasted you don't remember anything? We've all been there.

The Hangover follows a similar story of three friends who wake up the next day after a stupendous bachelor party to find themselves in a bizarre situation. For some reason, there's a tiger in their hotel room. To make matters worse, one of their friends is missing. Disoriented and hungover, they embark on a quest to trace what they did last night and find their friend.

‘Stupid-funny’ is usually not an easy sub-genre to ace. Tons of movies try it every year, but most, if not all, wind up looking cheap and dumb in their attempt to pull off action and comedy at the same time. This Bradley Cooper starrer, however, knows what it's doing. It avoids all the pitfalls while still retaining the sardonic humor, thanks to a talented ensemble cast who pull off an irreverent script with panache.

If you don't mind a no-holds-barred movie with crass humor, The Hangover should fit the bill.

7. A Fish Called Wanda

Wanda is a con artist who usually likes working alone. This time, however, she'll need the help of a group of men to pull it off. So, she teams up with others to perpetrate a perfect crime.

Unbeknownst to other team members, Wanda is planning to double-cross them. Things don't go as planned when she falls in love with one of her intended victims. Absolute outlandishness ensues as they attempt to rob a jeweler. Though they more or less pull it off, these four oddballs spend the rest of the time trying to fool each other, not knowing that everyone else is playing the same game.

It's said, though not confirmed, that a man died watching this comic caper, chucking so much that he couldn't breathe. I didn't know death by laughter was possible, but if anything will get you to the brink of it, it's this rib-tickling feature.

Despite being outlandish with its jokes and lines most of the times, it remains an intelligent feature, thanks to a riveting and well-laid script by John Cleese and Charles Crichton. You'll definitely appreciate the quick-witted humor once you experience the madness first-hand.

Those looking for some movies like Game Night will not be disappointed here.

8. Lethal Weapon

Unlike the Fox series, the original movie is unflinchingly funny and downright outlandish. Starring Mel Gibson and Danny Glover in the lead roles, this feature is the story of two cops who must forget their petty differences for the greater good. Together, they must bring down a huge network of drug smugglers - something that'll require persistence and teamwork. Will they learn to work together?

Things don't quite work out between them initially, but as the two slowly begin working together, amidst the chaos and mayhem, they realize it's probably their only way out.

Mel Gibson’s Martin Riggs is an enigmatic cop, but an unstable one at the same time, especially after the loss of his wife. His methods are downright cruel and unpredictable, as opposed to his partner (Danny Glover), a middle-aged detective who loves going by the book. The first few minutes aptly portrays how mismatched they truly are.

When they finally set aside their differences, however, the two become a force to be reckoned with, especially in the latter half of the movie where it's a do or die situation for both of them.

Lethal Weapon is a meticulously packaged gem, crammed with action, drama, and suspense. Be sure to check it out.

9. The Last Boy Scout

Willis Joe Hallenbeck is a private detective living a nonchalant life. Things, however, progressively get worse after the murder of his protected witness. As he delves deep into the case with the victim’s boyfriend, the detective finds himself facing a crooked politician and a pro football team owner. Of course, he risks his neck to get to the bottom of the matter, only to descend further down the road of chaos.

The 80s and 90s were the golden decades for action movie lovers. From Die Hard to The Terminator, there was no dearth of action and thrill on the big screen. The Last Boy Scout was the production of the same era, a top-notch, off-the-rails movie that wasn't afraid to dial the crazy up to a solid 11.

This Bruce Willis starrer is essentially a collation of quotable one-liners, many of which will stay with you for quite some time. Though this flick brings nothing new to the table when it comes to action sequences, its dialogue delivery is superb.

Props to everyone involved in the project to come up with such an underrated masterpiece. It's a perfect example of popcorn entertainment with brains - a diligent amalgamation of action and drama everyone should watch.
