It may be hard to believe it, but it’s been over ten years since the Twilight movies first graced our cinema screens in November 2008. The movies, which were based on the best-selling book series by author Stephanie Meyer, were turned into five films from 2008-2012. They grossed over $3 billion in the box office, broke several records and turned the leading cast into huge stars.
So what are the cast of Twilight doing now that the series has ended? Let’s catch up with Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner and the rest of the supporting cast in this article!
Kristen Stewart has kept plenty busy since the Twilight movies ended in 2012. Stewart was relatively famous before the films began (her breakthrough role was in 2002, playing Jodie Foster’s daughter in the movie Speak when she was 12 years old).
In 2015, she starred alongside Jesse Eisenberg (in their second film together, the first being 2009’s Adventureland) in the action comedy film, American Ultra. Stewart and Eisenberg teamed up again in 2016 for the Woody Allen romantic comedy/drama, Café Society. Stewart is currently set to star in a Netflix TV series which is an adaptation of the novel, A Life in Men, which will be produced by fellow actress Charlize Theron.
Besides acting, Stewart is the brand ambassador for fashion brands Balenciaga and Chanel.
Robert Pattinson has worked hard to shed his Twilight image since the films have ended, and has taken a variety of indie roles to cultivate his acting career.
In 2014, he stared in the Australian dystopian drama, The Rover, and in 2016, starred alongside Charlie Hunnam and Sienna Miller in the biographical drama film, The Lost City of Z. In 2018, he acted alongside Juliette Binoche in sci-fi film, High Life. Pattinson has several films coming up in 2019, including a black-and-white horror film called The Lighthouse and a film adaptation of several Shakespearean plays, titled The King.
Pattinson has focused on philanthropy in his down time and has donated to several causes, including the UK’s campaign against sex trafficking and has donated items to raise money for the Prostate Cancer Research Foundation. He’s also an ambassador of the GO Campaign, which raises awareness and funds to help orphans around the world.

Much like Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner was also a child star before starring as Jacob in the Twilight saga (he gained most of his fame from starring in The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 2005).
Since Twilight has ended he hasn’t starred in many films, but has spent more time on television. He’s been the main character of the British comedy, Cuckoo since 2014, and also had a main role in season 2 of the American horror comedy, Scream Queens, in 2016.
Anna Kendrick had one of the smallest roles in Twilight (playing one of Bella’s classmates, Jessica Stanley), but she’s gone on to have one of the biggest acting careers post-Twilight! From 2012-2017 she starred in the Pitch Perfect movie series, and has also acted in the musical, Into the Woods, the comedy Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates, and the 2018 mystery/thriller, A Simple Favor.
Kellen Lutz played Emmett Cullen in the films, but since their end, he’s gone on to star in The Expendables 3 in 2014, and starred as the titular main character in the 2014 film, The Legend of Hercules. Nikki Reed, whom played Emmett’s wife, Rosalie, in the films, has gone on to act as Betsy Ross in the TV show, Sleepy Hollow, and also runs her own jewellery line, BaYou with Love. In 2015, she married fellow actor, Ian Somerhalder, and they have one daughter together.
Ashley Greene and Jackson Rathbone are perhaps still best known for their roles in Twilight, playing couple Alice and Jasper Hale, respectively. Since Twilight’s end, Greene has had roles in the 2014 comedy, Wish I Was Here, and 2018’s action-thriller film, Accident Man. Rathbone has appeared in several televisions shows, including Finding Carter and The Last Ship. He also owns a record company, called Happy Jack Records.
Billy Burke and Peter Facinelli played the fathers of Bella and Edward, as Charlie Swan and Carlisle Cullen. Since the end of Twilight, Burke has starred in the NBC post-apocalyptic show, Revolution and the CBS drama, Zoo. Facinelli has had roles in various television shows, including Glee, American Odyssey, and S.W.A.T. Meanwhile, Elizabeth Reaser, who played Carlisle’s wife, Esme, has made in appearances in various TV shows, including a recurring role in Law & Order True Crime, Manhunt: Unabomber, and played one of the main characters in the Netflix horror show, The Haunting of House Hill.
There would be no Twilight saga without its creator, Stephenie Meyer. Since the end of the Twilight saga films, she’s released a 10th anniversary book titled Life and Death: Twilight Reimagined, which reverses the genders of Edward and Bella, and re-tells the first book of the novel with the characters, Beau Swan and Edythe Cullen.
Meyer’s 2008 book, The Host, was also made into a film in 2013, starring Saoirse Ronan and Max Irons.
Meyer’s latest novel, The Chemist, was released in 2016 and is an adult action/thriller, about an ex-U.S. Government agent who’s on the run.
A Twilight Reunion?
The Twilight saga is finished, but is there more to the story? Of course, the books and movies left the story open-ended, with a lot to tell past Edward and Bella’s wedding, so is there any chance of the cast getting back together for a new movie?
Probably not, sadly. Both Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson seem happy to leave their Twilight roles in the past.
However, there have been rumours of a Twilight reboot, or a new story that acts as a spin-off in the same Twilight universe.
Would you watch a new Twilight movie, even without the film’s original stars?

Yeah, Anna Kendrick definitely had the best post-Twilight career, I'd say even better than the main stars! She's a great actress, love seeing her in anything.

I never watched any of the Twilight movies. I simply am beyond being interested in most young adult movies. I'm happy that Kendick has become so visible in the years since Twilight. I don't care for the Pitch Perfect series because I have little interest in today's pop scene, but movies like Up In The Air, 50/50, and especially A Simple Favor make me wonder what she'll do next.
