Omarosa's Book 'Unhinged'

Omarosa was fired from her position at the White House effective January 20, 2018. She promised in interviews that she had a lot to tell about her experience working there.

She was a contestant on the celebrity version of Big Brother on CBS from February 7 to 25, 2018. Throughout the season, she told the other houseguests what it was like working with President Donald Trump and his administration. She promised that she would detail information in an upcoming book that people would not believe. The public should have believed her because her book Unhinged was released on August 14, 2018 where she labeled her former boss as a racist among other things.

Omarosa kept her promise and gave some damaging information about her previous boss, including allegations that he used the N-word on several occasions. However, Trump is denying her accusations. He tweeted that Omarosa is a liar and he called her a dog.

This hasn't stopped her from promoting the book and sticking by the information contained in it.

The Reality Star's Background

Omarosé Onée Manigault-Newman is often known by the single name, Omarosa. She was born on February 5, 1974, in Youngstown, Ohio. She is known for being a reality star and a political aide in the White House.

She served as the director of communications for the Office of Public Liaison for the Trump administration for almost one year. She was a close friend of President Donald Trump. Some people, especially blacks, turned against her because of that association.

About Omarosa

Omarosa became a public figure by branding herself as a reality television villain. She has been described as one of the most despised people on American television. In 2013, TV Guide included her on its list of The 60 Nastiest TV Villains of All Time.

Earlier in the reality star's career, she worked as Deputy Associate Director of Presidential Personnel in the office of Vice President Al Gore during the Clinton administration. She was a Democrat at that time.

The reality star is capitalizing on her name and reputation. According to Celebrity Net Worth, she is worth $3.5 million. She was making $179,000 when she worked at the White House.

Tragedies in the Celebrity's Life

The reality star's father was murdered when she was only seven years old. Her older brother was also murdered in 2012. Six months after his death, her fiancé, The Green Mile actor Michael Clarke Duncan, suffered a heart attack. He was hospitalized and died two months later. Her older sister died in 2016.

Omarosa's Education

After graduating from The Rayen School in Youngstown, Ohio, Omarosa earned a bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism in 1996 at Central State University in Wilberforce, Ohio.

She attended Howard University where she earned a master's degree and worked toward a doctorate in communication but she did not finish. Manigault has also received biblical studies training at Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio.

In August 2009, Omarosa enrolled at the United Theological Seminary in Ohio for a Doctor of Ministry degree. She received a minister's license in February 2011 from Weller Street Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles, California.

On February 27, 2012, she became an ordained Baptist minister. She was also named assistant pastor of her church. That surprised many people because of her reputation of being aggressive and nasty with those on the reality shows and her co-workers at her job at the White House.

The Reality Star

Omarosa became a household name after appearing on the first season of The Apprentice, on the All-Star Celebrity Apprentice, and on the Celebrity Apprentice. All three series were hosted by Donald Trump.

That was where Omarosa and Trump had their beginning. She became a villain in the eyes of everybody else except Trump before he became President of the United States. Their relationship continued and she worked in the White House.

She has appeared on other reality shows including being a contestant on Celebrity Big Brother that aired from February 7 to 25, 2018. She made it far on the show and gave the houseguests information about her tenure in the White House before she was fired.

Engagement and Marriages

In 2000, Manigault married Aaron Stallworth and changed her last name to Manigault-Stallworth. They separated in 2005 and divorced later that year. She went back to using her maiden name.

On August 13, 2010, Manigault confirmed that she was dating actor Michael Clarke Duncan, whom she had met in the produce section of a Whole Foods supermarket. They were engaged, but in July 2012, she found Duncan in cardiac arrest and performed CPR and resuscitated him. He never fully recovered from the heart attack. He spent two months in the hospital and died on September 3, 2012.

Omarosa married John Allen Newman on April 8, 2017. She wore a beautiful pale pink wedding gown that was given to her after she appeared on TLC's Say Yes to the Dress. In addition to the wedding dress, she received a wedding package which also included a custom veil and accessories. The estimated value of the gifts was $25,000.
