Katie Hopkins: The Most Irrelevant Person in Britain

Updated on November 28, 2016

Every Monday morning I teach a Creative writing class at my local community centre. I try to teach them a variation of descriptive writing techniques such as alliteration, onomatopoeia, similes etc. Now two techniques in particular are quite hard to explain and they are 'personification' and 'irony'. So I thank my lucky stars that a person like Katie Hopkins is around to help explain these techniques as the woman IS the very personification of irony.

For those who don't know, personification is the representation of something that is non-human in a human form and irony is a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often wryly amusing as a result.

In layman's terms, irony is like a dentist with bad teeth in the sense that it is hypocritical and Katie Hopkins is the living embodiment of that.

The self proclaimed "Biggest bitch in Britain" believes that mothers who stay at home to look after their children instead of having a career are simply lazy and useless, when her 'career' title is what's known as a "TV personality".

Have you heard of anything so useless, pointless and irrelevant in your life? To sum it up, she has such little self-respect, morals and awareness that she is brought on to talk-shows to represent the controversial side of an argument in the name of "balance".

Whether she's saying that all fat people are lazy, Brexit is the best thing for Britain, Donald Trump should be president, people with tattoos shouldn't be employed and women can't handle equal rights, she is always on the more controversial end of the spectrum.

I really don't think that she even believes the things she says but her outbursts cause such a reaction that she has been able to generate all the hate and turn it into a career and then claim that she is representing the minority.

In fairness she might be if the minority of the population are a**holes!

The reality is she is the most predictable "TV Personality" there is. If any debate arises, whether it is political, economical, current affairs or even sport related, you can guarantee that she is on the more controversial side of the debate. Before she even spews out any of the venomous, spiteful tripe that she rehearses so meticulously to make sure that it is controversial enough to make the tabloids, we already know what side of the argument she is on.

She is a complete fraud in every sense of the word. Another 'love to hate' kinda character who makes her pounds by insulting the vulnerable.

Here is a quote to her feelings towards children's names:

"A name, for me, is a short way of working out what class that child comes from. Do I want my child to play with them?"
"'Hi, this is my daughter Charmaine'. I hear: 'Hi, I am thick and ignorant'."

She then went on to say that she hates parents who name there children after geographical locations despite the fact that she named her own daughter India.

Fucking India!

I can't think of a better example of irony than that. The wrinkled witch then tweeted that "Hannah is the perfect name for a dyslexic child" which I imagine is a play on the fact that it is spelt the same backwards.

With complete disregard of the complexity of dyslexia, how it actually affects people and how common it is, I can imagine her giggling because she came up with a joke all by herself whilst clutching a glass of red-wine and staring in the mirror to see how drunk she has to be before she herself can even believe she looks as good as she thinks she does.

In these blogs I do try to stray away from using any profanity but I too am a flawed individual and haven't been blessed with great patience. So when I have to constantly see this monster popping up in my news feed and in newspapers my instinctive reflexes are to either gag or repeat the F word until it loses all meaning.

Just look at the picture above, I mean... If I were to draw you a bitch, that is the most generic, basic version anyone would imagine one to look like.

She is irrelevant to any situation or debate. The last person I want to hear from in an argument is her. The ridiculous don't need to be represented to make a debate fair and I think it's about time that we boycott her from all TV, radio and online shows.

Take away the "TV" from her job title and all you have left is "personality"... now that is ironic.
