Rachel M. Johnson is a lover of all things pop culture. She's been writing about music and entertainment online for over two years.

Beyoncé first rose to fame as the lead singer of the R&B girl-group Destiny's Child in the late 1990s, with whom she released 4 studio albums. In 2003, she branched out as a solo artist with her debut album, Dangerously in Love. Since then the hit-maker has sold over 100 million records worldwide as a solo artist and an additional 60 million with Destiny's Child. Beyoncé has earned 22 Grammy Awards, released 5 more mega-successful albums, ventured into acting, and continues to dominate the charts. While her music constantly creates a buzz, so do her fashion and wardrobe choices. Let's take a look at her top ten red carpet outfits.

2013 Grammy Awards

Beyoncé opted out of a dress in favor of something more unique, when she wore an Osman black crepe jumpsuit to the 2013 Grammy Awards. The outfit had white panel detailing that perfectly accented her figure, and was paired with a Swarovski clutch and black Jimmy Choo shoes. With her hair pulled back in a simple and sleek ponytail, clean make-up and a bold red lip, the minimal Lorraine Schwartz jewelry further complimented the look. The black-and-white jumpsuit definitely stood out on the red carpet, and was a fun choice for the singer.

2014 MTV Video Music Awards

The "Drunk in Love" songstress showed up to the awards ceremony in a sheer black Nicolas Jebran dress that demanded attention. The lace detailing hugged the singer's famous curves, with sheer accents in all the right places. With her honey blonde hair cascading in waves over her shoulders, Beyoncé looked effortlessly gorgeous. Her big, bold Lorraine Schwartz earrings further complimented the gown, and Christian Louboutin heels pulled the look together. Not only did she look absolutely stunning, but she was also awarded the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the ceremony, making for a memorable night.

2014 Grammy Awards

The singer looked like a vision in white when she wore a peek-a-boo Michael Costello Couture gown to the 2014 Grammy Awards. The dress had a floral pattern that strategically covered her enviable figure in all the right places. The sheer detailing added just the right amount of sexiness, and the open back truly made it a peek-a-boo look. Her tousled lob was curled and perfectly complimented the ensemble, and her berry lip color really made everything pop. It's no surprise the diva stole the fashion show that night.

2005 Academy Awards

Beyoncé looked elegant and chic when she walked the red carpet in a Atelier Versace black velvet gown to the 2005 Academy Awards. The vintage dress accentuated the artist's famous curves, and the sweetheart neckline and simple train gave the whole outfit a classic appeal. The dramatic diamond earrings and matching bracelet added even more glamour to the look, and with her hair pulled back, the singer looked very sophisticated. Though it was one of her more simple ensembles, it was truly an unforgettable fashion moment.

2015 Met Gala

All eyes were on the songstress when she showed up to the 2015 Met Gala in a sheer gold, slightly-bejweled and barely there Givenchy Haute Couture dress. The nearly nude number had floral embellishments that strategically covered up her intimate areas, and was adorned with multicolored crystals. It was a daring and risque look that truly stole the show. She wore her long blonde locks up in a flirty and fun high ponytail, and simple make-up. Though she caused quite a stir with the gown, the Grammy winner claimed the top spot of the best dressed list on many media outlets.

2007 Golden Globe Awards

The diva looked glamorous in gold at the 2007 Golden Globe Awards, when she wore a sparkly sequined Elie Saab gown. The body-hugging number had a plunging neckline that added to the sexiness of the ensemble, and the matching earrings and bangle completed the look beautifully. The singer's soft brown hair was worn straight and sleek, and she embodied the glitter and glam of the night. The stunning gown truly made Beyoncé shine as brightly as the Golden Globe awards themselves, and was a look to remember.

2011 MTV Video Music Awards

Beyoncé caused quite a splash when she showed up to the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards in a one-shouldered orange sheath dress and revealed she was pregnant. The mother-to-be was absolutely glowing and beamed with joy in the Lavin silk crepe cut-away gown. The shade looked beautiful on her skin, and she wore her hair pulled back to the side in a chic, effortless style. The diamond earrings and matching bracelet made the whole look come together, and the singer's radiant smile truly showed just how excited she was to welcome her first child with husband Jay Z.

2014 Met Gala

The Grammy-winner has certainly become a major contender when it comes to her red carpet looks, and the 2014 Met Gala was no exception. She showed up wearing an all-black Givenchy Haute Couture gown, with a deep-v cut and thigh-high slit up the middle of the dress. The sheer and heavily embellished number also featured a cinched waist, flowing train and billowing sleeves that was further highlighted by a chic netted veil. It was a very dramatic look that Beyoncé looked stunning in. With her hair pulled into a sleek pony tail and statement earrings, the edgy ensemble was complete.

2009 Golden Globes

The songstress strutted her stuff at the 2009 Golden Globes when she showed up in an ivory Elie Saab gown with sequined detailing. The mermaid shaped gown featured a high slit, and a Lorraine Schwartz diamond necklace that was truly fit for a queen. Her hair was pulled back in a sophisticated up-do that further highlighted the statement making necklace. The singer's curvy figure was accentuated by the cut and style of the gown, and the thigh-high slit only added to the sensuality of the dress.

2004 Brit Awards

Beyoncé looked bronzed and beautiful when she wore a sparkly Dolce & Gabbana gown to the 2004 Brit Awards. With her glowing skin, perfectly curled hair, natural make-up and the figure-hugging sequinned dress, the singer definitely won the Brits red carpet. This golden moment just goes to show that the hit-maker has been dominating the world of fashion for years and shows no signs of slowing down any time soon.
