4 Best Song Joong-ki K-Dramas
What matters most in the world of entertainment is the impact it brings to the audience, and the power it holds to spread that impact.
Song Joong-ki has been one of my favorite actors since I first started watching K-Dramas in 2016. His portrayal of a feral child in 2012's A Werewolf Boy instantly captured my heart, so I watched his other movies and television shows, including one of Korea's longest-running variety game shows, Running Man. I think he was there for 40 or so episodes. If you’ve only ever seen him in serious movies, you have to see his competitive and charming side on Running Man! Song Joong-ki is still one of my favorite South Korean actors and here are his four best K-Dramas.
1. Vincenzo (2021)
Vincenzo is a crime drama and dark comedy that premiered on tvN on February 20, 2021, with a 7.7% AGB nationwide rating, making it the fourth highest-rated drama premiere on tvN. The show ended on May 2, 2021, after 20 episodes and it is still a popular series on Netflix. Vincenzo stars Song Joong-ki as the title character, alongside Jeon Yeo-been, Ok Taec-yeon, Kim Yeo-jin, and Kwak Dong-yeon.
The story is about Park Joo-hyung. He was adopted by an Italian family and his name changed to Vincenzo Cassano. He grew up as a lawyer, a consigliere for the mafia, and Don Fabio's right-hand man. Upon Fabio's death, his biological son and the new leader of the Cassano family attempted to kill him.
Vincenzo went to Seoul to recover a fortune from a recently deceased Chinese tycoon and stashed it in the basement of Geumga Plaza. Unfortunately, his plan to recover the gold got complicated when he learned that a subsidiary of Babel group had illegally taken ownership of the building.
