5 Habits Prince Harry Has Given Up to Please Meghan Markle
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been married since May 19, 2018. They are expecting their first child any day now. It appears that both of them are ready to become parents.
In the year that the couple has been married, both of them have undergone some major changes. The most obvious ones are five habits the 34-year-old Duke of Sussex has given up to satisfy his wife, the 37-year-old Duchess of Sussex. Do you know what those five changes are?
Prince Harry was once known as a party boy before he started dating Meghan in 2016. He started drinking when he was a teenager. There had been photos in newspapers and magazines of him drinking at parties and dancing out of control. He gained the reputation of being a party animal before he met Meghan.
Last January, The Express reported that Harry no longer drinks to the extent that he used to. He is supporting his pregnant wife since she is not drinking. During their royal tour in Fiji last October, the Duke and Duchess did not drink champagne at a state dinner. Instead, they used water to make their toast, according to Harpers Bazaar.
Prince Harry used to smoke, but he slowly weaned himself off of cigarettes before he and Meghan got married last year. The Duke of Sussex credits his wife for supporting him through the transition.
They are both on the same page when it comes to taking care of their bodies. Meghan wants Prince Harry to be in good health to enjoy their baby when the child is born and grows up.
To support Meghan during her pregnancy, Prince Harry has given up on caffeine. Instead of consuming lots of coffee and tea, Vanity Fair said the couple has exchanged coffee and tea for mineral water instead.
4. Junk Food
Meghan is a foodie, but she eats only healthy foods. She has influenced her husband to do the same. He is now a clean eater just like Meghan.
The mother to be has inspired the father of their child to throw away all junk food and stock up on fresh vegetables and fruits. According to royal expert Katie Nicholl, the couple cooks healthy meals together.
Nicholl told Vanity Fair that the former Suits actress has a healthy-eating lifestyle and participate in yoga sessions often. After all, her mother Doria Ragland is a yoga instructor.
Prince Harry's wife does not approve of him killing pheasants. She has been complimented by PETA for her love of animals and her passion about wildlife, including her opposition to fur and leather.
The royal family has a tradition of hunting pheasants annually on Boxing Day, the day after Christmas. Out of respect for the Duchess of Sussex, the Duke of Sussex chose not to participate in the longtime holiday tradition with the rest of his family. That was the first time he skipped the tradition in twenty years, according to the Daily Mail.
Prince Harry loves the sport, but he has not participated in the holiday tradition since he has been married to Meghan.
Photos of the Duke of Sussex
The public is not with Prince Harry when he is home with his pregnant wife. Therefore, no one can attest to what he is eating and drinking. The saying that a picture is worth a thousand words is true in Harry's case.
No one can deny that the photos that have been seen of the Duke of Sussex show a much healthy and happy looking young man. Prince Harry looks like he is in good shape to welcome his first child.
The baby will be too young right away to run around in the backyard of their new location at Frogmore Cottage. When the child is older, there will be plenty of space and privacy for the family to enjoy together. With Prince Harry's lifestyle changes, surely he will be in good shape to keep up with the little one.
Besides being in good health to welcome his child, Meghan is proud of her husband's transformation as well as the rest of the royal family. Prince Harry's friends have noticed that Harry is "more chilled and relaxed.” They have given Meghan credit for encouraging him to get rid of bad habits.
