Giving you the best feel-good anime/manga list for all of us who are currently in need of some relaxing and stress-free entertainment because sometimes, most of us just need a good laugh!
Guaranteed to be a "no-damn-feels list".
13. Sket Dance
no. 13 is Sket Dance, one of the funniest things that ever happened to me! You're surely in for a one-of-a-kind humor, doesn't even matter if you watch the anime or read the manga. All the characters are refreshing, from the main characters to the side and even the guest characters. The main characters, Bossun, Switch and Himeko are high school students trying to help other people in need through their club, which is Sket Dance. Sket Dance is mostly funny, but you you are still in for some drama once you've reached the main characters' background part.
Sket Dance is a comedy manga serialized in the Weekly Shonen Jump which ran from 2006 to 2013. It got an anime adaptation from 2011 to 2012. It won the annual Shogakukan Manga Award for best shonen manga of 2009.
12. Cat's Eye
The 12th spot goes to Cat's Eye, a comedy-drama-action anime and manga series by Tsukasa Hojo, the same mangaka who created City Hunter. The story is about Hitomi and her two sisters' quest to steal back art works belonging to their missing father. However, Hitomi's boyfriend, Toshio, is the same police detective assigned in arresting Cat's Eye and this is where it all gets entertaining since you wouldn't want our main protagonists arrested but you would still pity poor Toshio's attempts to catch the mysterious thieves. Despite being a crime fiction story, Cat's Eye's mood is generally light, funny and adorable, plus it never gets old!
11. Amagi Brilliant Park
Amagi Brilliant Park is one of the most entertaining anime I've seen in 2014. There's a good amount of humor, thank you very much, Shoji Gatoh, with a bit of drama and tension towards the end but is still very feel-good overall. We have a narcissist and a tsundere as main characters, thus the cute-funny chemistry between the MCs. Most of the theme park characters are kinda in the stupid side as well, but in a nice way. If you've liked the humor in Full Metal Panic, especially the Fumoffu season, then you'd definitely love AmaBuri as well!
10. Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge
My photo selection above says it all, you're in for a good laugh with Yamato Nadeshiko Shichi Henge. Our lead Yamato Nadeshiko here is not pretty at all when she's on chibi mode, a stark contrast to the four bishounens she is living with. She hates them too because they are all so pretty, and that's where it all gets amusing now that she has to live with the beautiful creatures she hates the most! You won't drop this until you've seen her turn in to a real beauty... if the author would even allow it!
9. Nodame Cantabile
Ah, this one is so good I've been watching this every year since I first discovered this masterpiece. Nodame Cantabile is undeniably one of the funniest anime out there, thanks to Nodame and Nodame and Nodame. It is very well-directed, has a great plot, unique art, and has awesome voice actors to boot. The OST is amazing, the opening and ending song selection is nothing but perfect! In other words, everything about this anime is so damn good you have to watch it and if you've already seen it then watch it again and then you'll be the happiest person on earth right after!
Kuragehime is surely one of the sweetest anime ever created! The sweetness is not just because our main female lead looks sweet and charming, but because both Koibuchi guys are too damn sweet as well! I super love Kurako but I can't come to hate his brother Shu because he is just so nice and sincere. You're bound to love the love triangle here, but the selling point is really how each character in the series tries so hard to achieve their dreams. Anyhow, this series is definitely gonna make you awwwwww, that's so sweet! :)
7. Ouran High School Host Club
In the 7th spot is one of the most famous shoujo series ever, the anime I will love forever, Ouran High School Host Club! Everything funny in this anime is mainly and most likely caused by the oh-so-perfect and oh-so-handsome Tamaki Suoh, our main character and top host. Everybody will surely love Haruhi's host club adventures, including her realizations on the rich and elite's, well, perspective in and take on life. Last but not the least, the girls of course will love the reverse harem here :D Now it's time to kiss, kiss, fall in love!
6. Prince of Tennis
Prince of Tennis is in the 6th spot, probably the most relaxing sports anime I've ever seen :D Of course some of the matches gets really tense, but with just the right amount of thrill and suspense. Watching PoT can get really relaxing, but it never gets boring. Even the chibi-filler episodes are so good I never skipped a thing. Of course a lot of techniques are too anime to be true but who cares, the games and the characters are all so enjoyable! No zero, all loves!
5. Daa! Daa! Daa!
Yay! We're now onto #5 with one of the cutest anime ever: Daa! Daa! Daa! This series is equals my childhood but I still watch this every now and then. All the characters are just so cute and funny and even the villains are adorable! I especially look forward to the sweet Miyu-Kanata moments but all other scenes and episode, with or without romance, are lovely and feel-good and nice. Pure good vibes from watching this show!
4. Tomo-chan wa Onna Noko
We are finally down to the fourth most feel-good anime of all time (just according to me)! I present to you my new favorite manga, Tomo-chan wa Onna Noko. This manga is faring well with just three to five characters so far. I bet the two MCs alone can sustain 10 long chapters by themselves. No drama, no twists and no complications, just love and hate (relationships) and friendships and friendzones. This is definitely one of the simple yet cutest anime out there, but still you know, right in the kokoro!
3. Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun
Now presenting my top 3 feel-good anime/manga: Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun for 3rd place! This anime/manga is guaranteed to make you laugh every single scene of every single episode and every single chapter! All the characters are nuts and it's impossible for anyone to like just one or two or three of them because you will love them ALL. Every single one of them is stupid in their own right but they are all so nice and sweet and all the ships are perfect, from Nozaki x Sakura to Hori x Kashima to Waka x Seo down to Mikorin x self.
And the second most feel-good anime of all time is... *drum roll here* Barakamon! Watching this anime gave my heart a different kind of peace. For the first time in a long while, I considered living in the province, if only my job would allow it. Barakamon would make you think of happiness, simplicity and contentment. This is surely an absolute masterpiece, brought to you by sensei and Naru!
Now I give you the best and the most feel-good manga ever created - Horimiya! Words cannot stress and express how much I love this sweet, beautiful manga. Everything about Horimiya is so simple (even the title just came from the main characters' names), the story isn't complicated without the usual plot twists that the typical shoujo manga has, even the way Hori and Miyamura fell in love with each other and the way they treat each other is so straightforward and realistic, making this manga a bit different but still appealing. I like it that the mangaka does not need a villain or an overly dramatic character experience for the story to take off and progress because Hori and Miyamura's sweetness is enough for us to keep reading.
Hoped you liked my list! Now it's time to vote!
If your pick is not on my list then feel free to comment! Thanks for reading!!!

Ayu (author) from Sorajima on October 27, 2019:
i think i understand where youre coming from both are not necessarily your typical light and justfun titles because both have certain depth to its plot/storyline and execution its just that nodame and sket are both personally refreshing for me so.. there
Mattias on October 22, 2019:
Yeah i'm not sure the author understands the concept of "feel-good" anime... Nodame Cantabile most certainly do not fit in that category, neither do sket dance.

Amaama to Inazuma is for me the best of all the heartwarming animes i've seen for now (didn't look at the manga, don't know if it's as good as the anime)

Ayu (author) from Sorajima on November 29, 2015:
Thank you Ayame Mihara! Will definitly check out Yotsuba&!
Ayame Mihara on November 28, 2015:
Created an account just to say that Barakamon is indeed amazing and never fails to crack me up, so check out Handa-kun if you liked it. Handa-kun is like a prequel to Barakamon and shows what Sensei was like in middle/high school.
Second, the most feel good manga of all time has to be Yotsuba&!
So cute, I definitely recommend to anyone looking for a feel good manga. It focuses on a little girl, Yotsuba, and the friends she makes and the adventures she has. She is a weird little charming girl that would make anyone love her!

For me? Bakuman. Hands down one of my fave anime of all time. Of course after only watching for 2 years, I haven't seen them all!
Bakuman, funny, serious, romantic, Bro-mantic, cliff hangers *sort of*, great ending.
