Top 10 Best Fan Service Anime

Let us first define what fan service is:

“Fan Service is a kind of service in fictional shows that is intended to please the audience. It’s all about servicing the fans, and giving them exactly what they desire in terms of visuals, sounds, and impressions.”

In anime, fan service is often marked by sensual elements and pleasure-inducing features. Most of the shows running this theme border on being inappropriate, but they are still eminently acceptable. You have to prepare thoroughly if you want to proceed in watching these shows. Some fan service anime are actually so bizarre and over-the-top that they can profoundly surprise unsuspecting viewers.

As an anime fan, I’ve watched countless of animated shows already. I think I have a clear idea of what it takes for a fan service show to be eagerly sought and desired. Thus, I organized a list, and here is the result—the top 10 best fan service anime!

10. Shimoneta

For the tenth spot of this list, let’s start with something devilishly explosive! Here it comes. It’s definitely coming! Ahhh...it’s Shimoneta!

Shimoneta is an anime that is indisputably unorthodox yet outrageously comedic. Unlike most fan service anime, this one is not mindless at all, nor is it shallow. It actually hits close to the essence of a true service cut anime. And by essence I mean—unadulterated raunchiness and epicurism!

There are no holds barred when it comes to how Shimoneta portrays its indulgent themes. Everything works out well because the plot of this show fittingly supports each and every dirty joke that it hurls at the audience.

Despite being extravagantly comedic and gratifying, Shimoneta can get really awkward. Be sure to watch it when no one else is around, unless you want to risk using the “this isn’t what it looks like” excuse unexpectedly.

9. Ouran High School Host Club

While it’s true that there’s a grave lack of fan service anime that are tailored fit for the ladies, they do exist and some of them are even highly acclaimed. One of them is actually considered one of the best reverse harem anime in the world. This show is none other than—Ouran High School Host Club!

For some reason, there’s something really alluring about Ouran High School Host Club. It’s not a romance anime per se, but its shoujo and reverse harem elements truly dazzle! And since it revolves around the high school host club concept, this show’s chief goal is to provide genuine entertainment and fan service.

Ouran High School Host Club has the power to butter you up and make your heart thump. So whether you’re a guy or a gal, you’ll definitely enjoy this show. Now, sing with me: “kiss, kiss, fall in love!”

8. Shokugeki no Soma (Food Wars!)

It’s almost impossible to find the right words to describe this show because I can’t help but drool just thinking about it! Well, that’s Shokugeki no Soma for you! This is an anime that excels in delivering pleasure that literally makes you salivate!

Shokugeki no Soma offers a whole new world of experience. It serves drool-worthy food to tickle the senses. All it takes is one glimpse to trigger an irresistible foodgasm. If only I could actually taste the food served in this anime, I’m sure it would be a grand experience!

The mouthwatering visuals and scrumptious plot of Shokugeki no Soma unimpeachably whet the appetite. Although this series heavily relies on sights and sounds, for some reason, it tickles all the senses. This just proves how provocatively flavorsome this anime is!

7. Keijo!!!!!!!!

Did you know that there’s actually a competitive sport that involves only butts and breasts? As of now, it only exists in the anime world, but this sport known as keijo is unlike anything you’ve ever seen before!

For a sports anime, Keijo!!!!!!!! is astoundingly innovative! Who, in the right mind, would ever conceptualize a sport where players have to tackle one another using only their butts and breasts to claim victory? Well, it surprisingly works, and the mechanics and techniques are on point!

And since we’re talking about butts and breasts, it’s clear that Keijo!!!!!!!! is chock full of fan service! Fortunately, the focus is still on the sports action and plot. The fan service is just a crowd-pleasing bonus, which is very much welcome and appreciated.

6. Free!

Without a doubt, Free! is a service cut anime that caters to the female community really well. For many girls, there is some thrill in seeing guys with well-defined muscles decked in swimming attire. But wait, this anime isn’t only about that. There’s a lot more in this show than meets the eye.

This anime, in actuality, presents a fun, wholesome, and tender water adventure. This is a swimming anime, so a huge wave of sports action is expected! As anticipated, the theme of friendship is strong in this one. But most importantly, the splash of fun that this show offers is striking and on fleek.

Anyone is free to watch this anime. Free! is, after all, a show that is more than just swimming. It's a show about the beauty of friendship.

5. High School of the Dead

The thing about fan service anime is that it’s not necessary for them to have complicated plots. In their purest form, they’re just that—fan service! And High School of the Dead is a great example!

High School of the Dead is a really straightforward and simple anime. Here’s a zombie apocalypse set-up, a gang of school survivors, some weapons, and a lot of over-sized melons! It’s best not to think about it too much. Just barge right in with very little expectation and you’re all set!

If you’re still not convinced about trying High School of the Dead, I guarantee that it is remarkably appealing in all its visual sense, if you know what I mean. This show has unparalleled self-indulgent action and jiggle physics! You should try if you know what’s good for you.

4. Shinmai Maou no Testament

Shinmai Maou no Testament is another amorous and overindulgent anime. Many people compare it to High School DxD, which is an honorable achievement in itself!

It’s interesting to know that despite all the suggestive bits in Shinmai Maou no Testament, there’s an actual driving force that moves its story and the development of its characters. Even without the fleshly parts, I’d still watch this anime. But of course, we’re here for the fan service, right? Be at ease because this anime never runs out of hot juice!

If you want to maximize the tantalizing experience of watching Shinmai Maou no Testament, I suggest you find a copy without any censors.

3. To Love-Ru

It should come to no surprise that To Love-Ru is the warmer of the third seat on this list. After all, it’s one of my favorite service cut anime!

To Love-Ru is not only full of nutty gimmicks and sensuous scenes, it is also wildly hilarious! Honestly, this show made me chuckle hysterically way more than I should have. Since this is one of the very first service cut anime I have watched in my entire life, it is very precious and memorable to me.

This is no misunderstanding; To Love-Ru is absolutely gratifying and uproarious. If you haven’t gotten a whiff of this anime yet, then now is your chance!

2. Prison School

I still find it unbelievable to think that Prison School actually has an anime adaptation. This show is definitely not for everyone. It’s the kind of show that makes you feel like you deserve to go to prison just by peeking at it. However, this show can be considered, by all regards, a guilty pleasure!

Surprisingly, it is very easy to follow the narrative of Prison School. Its central plot ties really well with all the crazy antics in it. Also, each and every scene from it is superbly funny and titillating!

Prison School is actually quite thrilling to watch. It invokes guffaws with very little effort. From beginning to end, there is never a dull moment. Its sensuality is also set to the maximum level. Truly, this is the series to watch if you want to experience endless fits of laughter and pleasure, all at the same time.

1. High School DxD

Hey folks, the time has come for me to finally announce the bearer of the title “best fan service anime.” I’m sure many would agree and even applaud energetically, because the anime in question is none other than—High School DxD!

I placed High School DxD on the highest pedestal of this list because many would have raised objections if I didn’t. But then again, I think this show indeed deserves all the glory. This anime has an extremely high concentration of fan service elements, which is why it tops this list, yet it also excels in many other areas.

Not only does High School DxD have an actual plot, it is also quite comedic, and even dramatic at times. Most of its key characters do grow and have distinct personalities. With a closer look, this anime isn’t really as shallow and superficial as it appears at first. Perhaps this is the reason why this show is well-received and loved around the world.

Believe it or not, there are actually some people who would watch this show for its story, characters, and substance. But still, most would watch this show for its fan service. High School DxD is brilliantly flexible and well-rounded. It is also considered a classic, so I therefore conclude that it certainly deserves nothing more than the number 1 spot on this list!
