Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso (also known as Your Lie in April) is a romance/drama/music anime that follows the story of Kousei Arima as he discovers the true meaning of the music in his life. Ever since his mom died, Kousei has been unable to hear his own music. As a result, he has stopped playing piano. Now in high school, he enjoys hanging out with his friends and living the simple life—all away from his own melody and his past.
One day, a whimsical girl named Kaori Miyazono—a playful and cheerful violinist—appears in Kousei’s life. She tries to get him to play his piano once again. After all, Kousei was a musical prodigy, and letting him stagnate would be such a waste. Kaori does her best in trying to make Kousei open his heart again to the music that he used to cherish. This series is a musical adventure that is about diving deep into a sea of melodies, searching for lost tones, and facing the music of life head-on!
This show is dramatic as it is romantic, which is a good thing because it's definitely capable of tugging at your heartstrings. What makes this series great and unforgettable is the music. It is successful at captivating the audience and will stay with you after the series has ended.

1. Nodame Cantabile
Shinichi Chiaki has the dream of becoming a musical conductor and playing music with the elites of Europe. He does what he can to be as perfect as possible in order to achieve his ambitions. It’s an adventure that will take both of them out of their comfort zones in order for them reach their full potential.

18-year-old Tsukasa Mizugaki lands a job in the Terminal Service of the Sion Artificial Intelligence Corporation. As first, he thought that his job would be as simple and as easy as he initially assessed. However, he realizes that is not the case, especially when he has to retrieve Giftias that are close to their expiration dates. Good thing he has his partner, Isla, to assist him and share the burden of the job. However, Isla is also a Giftia!
Having lived a life that has always been dull and boring for him, Tomoya Okazaki firmly believes that he is worthless and will never amount to anything. As such, he often just squanders time and does what he wants without giving a second thought about his own future. One day, everything changes for him when he meets a weird girl that he just can’t get out of his mind.
The weird girl Tomoya met was Nagisa Furukawa. She's a simple and ordinary girl, but Tomoya has become interested in her. Kaoru Ishimi is a talented classical pianist who has an introverted personality due to his past circumstances. Ever since he was young, he has been hopping from place to place. This has prevented him from making any long-lasting connections and friends.
Right after transferring into another school for the year, Kaoru begins to experience something new—friendship. It all started after meeting Sentarou Kabuchi—a delinquent boy whose love for jazz music is incomparable! Soon after their fateful encounter, Kaoru starts to get interested in jazz music. Friendship allows him to open up, enabling him create music that he and others can enjoy!
