About Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan (The Disastrous Life of Saiki K.)

Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan is about the all-powerful psychic, Saiki Kusuo. See the pun in his name? Saiki really does sound like Psychic! Well, he’s a psychic since birth but he claims that it isn’t what it’s made out to be! According to him, being a psychic is actually very inconvenient. It’s like when you are given something (in this case, psychic powers), something else gets taken away! But enough about that! Saiki is in high school now, and he’s trying to live as ordinary as possible! That is—if he manages to get through peculiar classmates, parents, friends, and bystanders.

This show is actually surprisingly fun and entertaining. It pokes fun into Saiki’s everyday life as a powerful psychic who’s trying to be as ordinary as he can be. And so, one wacky thing just leads to other hilarious moments, which adds exponentially to the charm of this show. And that is why it delivers laughs and cackles very effectively!

Thus, listed here are more anime like Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan! If you like to have more laughs and feel good cackling, then these are the shows to watch out for!

Besides being entertaining and wacky most of the time, “Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!” also has a very striking element—the presence of Chuunibyou! That is none other than—Kaidou Shun, the classmate of Saiki who calls himself the “Jet-Black Wings!”

“Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!” follows Yuuta Togashi and his struggle in starting a new life away from his past as a “chuunibyou” (a person who believes and acts on delusions like having supernatural powers or being a special being). He’s peculiar, but that’s what makes this show standout as one that is very similar to the topic at hand. But well, enough about that! Handa-kun is another school series, which has a peculiar main character, that will make you laugh!

Handa Sei is a talented calligrapher who’s in high school. Given his talent that towers above all and his upbringings, he’s very socially awkward. School life can be fun or boring depending on the student and what he/she is doing to make it meaningful and lively. But as for Seki-kun, nothing is boring when he has an arsenal of stuff to do in class! Presenting another anime series that is so whack that it’s so hilarious, Seki-kun will blow boredom away as he goes through his mundane school life. This is all much to Yokoi’s (his seatmate) inconvenience and annoyance though.

Seki-kun is a genius when it comes to passing time! He has a lot of stuff to do and play with whenever he comes upon a dull moment in class. Then there’s Yokoi, a girl who happens to be Seki-kun’s seatmate. She sees everything Seki-kun does, much to her annoyance every single time. But well, Seki-kun is the master of passing time so he does what he does, whilst not getting caught by the teacher, and with Yokoi the one being caught for being distracted and not paying attention.
